*How To Order Obit Copies*

If you live near to Omaha, you are welcome to visit the microfilm room, 3rd floor of Omaha Public Library’s W. Dale Clark location at 215 S. 15th St., Omaha, Nebraska to get copies of any of the obits that you need. Hours are 10:00 to 8:00 M – Th, 10:00 – 6:00 F & Sa, 1:00 – 6:00 Su. The library is closed on holidays, occasionally for two days.

If visiting the library in person is not an option for you, there are three other ways you can order obit copies. Choose ONE (and only one) of the options below, and carefully follow its  instructions. Do not combine options. This will only delay your order.

Option 1:  Send a letter to the Greater Omaha Genealogical Society at the following address:

Greater Omaha Genealogical Society
PO Box 4011
Omaha NE 68104-4011

Provide them with the information exactly as it appears on the Omaha Obits web site. The charge is $5.00 per copy.

Option 2:  Send an email to: gogsresearch@gmail.com

(Note: do not use the Option 1 address for payment if you have chosen this option. The payment address for this option is different.)

Please provide the information exactly as it appears on the web site.

The charge is $5.00 per copy. If you have  6 or more copy requests in the same email, every 6th copy is free.

When we have your order ready (which is usually the the day after we receive your request), we will send you an email with instructions on where to send your check or money order.

Option 3:  You may have the library staff obtain copies for you.

There is a limit of 3 obits per request, and research fees apply.
