How to Obtain Obit Copies

You are welcome to visit the microfilm room, 3rd floor of Omaha Public Library’s W. Dale Clark location at 215 S. 15th St., Omaha, Nebraska to get copies of any of the obits that you need. Hours are 10:00 to 8:00 M – Th, 10:00 – 6:00 F & Sa, 1:00 – 6:00 Su. The library is closed on holidays, occasionally for two days.

If visiting the library in person is not an option for you, there are two ways you can order obit copies:

You can get copies for $10/hr (average is about 5-6 obits per hour) plus copy costs (25 cents per copy) from:

You may have the library staff obtain copies for you (limit of 3 obits per request, please). Research fees apply. They will do up to 30 minutes of research IF they are given:

1. the name of the person
2. date of death
3. $20 in advance, checks made out to: Omaha Public Library.
